Our Mission

Super Ethan’s Steps Mission

Our mission is quite simple: to bring awareness to Childhood Cancer and raise funds for those children and their families affected by Childhood Cancer within the Windsor-Essex County Community. Every September we ‘Go Gold’ at the annual Super Ethan’s Steps Walk/Run in Leamington, a family event that attracts hundreds of people to shine a light on the incredible and brave children who are going though cancer treatments or post-treatments and who have gained their angel wings following their courageous battles. We also want to continue raising awareness throughout the year with smaller fundraisers, blood donor clinics and other local events which will continue to bring awareness to this cause. This idea began with our own family and we want to extend the positivity and strength to as many other families as possible throughout Windsor-Essex County.

Since 2015, Super Ethan’s Steps has raised more than $60,000 for children affected by Childhood Cancer, as well as their families. Since 2019, we have committed to continue raising funds to assist the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital. These funds help provide comfort and care for children visiting clinic for treatments and check-ups. They also go toward alleviating stresses during hospital admission stays and travel costs for families to London and Toronto. We have also teamed up with other local organizations and foundations that support children and families affected by Childhood Cancer, including Canadian Blood Services and Fight Like Mason Foundation.

Super Ethan’s Steps’ goal is to continue raising much needed awareness for children affected by Childhood Cancer, advocate for these incredibly brave children and help bring some smiles, joy and comfort for their hospital visits and stays.
