Many – if not all – children who are diagnosed with cancer must receive blood transfusions throughout their treatment. When a blood transfusion is needed, many times it is needed right away, without hesitation, in order to save the child’s life.
Ethan received numerous blood transfusions during his 3 1/2 years of treatment. We never really understood the need for blood donations until our son’s life depended on them ❤️ To every donor, we – and many other families of children fighting cancer – thank you ❤️
